Sabalos Lodge, San Carlos River
3 Day / 2 Nights
Day 01
Morning guided transfer to the International Airport in order to take local domestic flight from Managua to San Carlos. Upon arrival into San Carlos, transportation will be waiting for you for a transfer to Sabalos Lodge or Boat transfer from Los Chiles (Boarder between Costa Rica and Nicaragua) to Sabalos Lodge. Our adventure starts by traveling through area once known as the Gold Rout to California. This trip is guided by a captain that is an expert in the river and knowledgeable of all the regional legends and who knows the location of the burrows of the animals that live on the river banks, such as otters, alligator, etc. Also, you will be able to observe a vast variety of monkeys and an enormous diversity of migrating birds, such as eagles, falcons, blue jays, herons, etc. We arrive at Sabalos Lodge before lunch and have a free afternoon to enjoy the environment. At night we have observation of alligators in a safe boat. Dinner at the lodge.

Day 02
Breakfast. Morning Visit the El Castillo Fortress, which was built by the Spaniards to protect the city of Granada from the English pirates, even the famous Lord Nelson tried to conquer it. Early lunch at El Castillo. Afternoon visit to Indio Maiz National Reserve. Dinner at the lodge.
Overnight at Sabalos Lodge, San Carlos River
Day 03
Breakfast. Morning boat transfer from Sabalos Lodge to San Carlos Port for customs. Continue the boat transfer through Rio Frio until get to Los Chiles (Costa Rica area). or Breakfast. Morning boat transfer from Sabalos Lodge to San Carlos Port in order to take La Costena flight back to Managua City. Upon arrival a representative of Careli Tours will be waiting you for youe transfer to your hotel in Managua City.

How to get to Nicaragua
You can find direct flights to Managua from the United States . Daily flights with Taca, Continental Airlines & American Airlines with a time flight of 2 hours and 15 minutes. You can also find flight arrangements to Managua and connections from Los Angeles , San Francisco , Dallas , Washington , New Orleans , New York , Mexico , Europe, Central America and South America .
The International Managua airport has is been recently remodeled to give visitors efficient service.
It is also possible to arrive to Managua by land departing from Honduras or Nicaragua

Citizens of most countries do not need visa to enter Nicaragua only a valid passport and a tourist card which you can obtain at the immigration checking point at the airport in Managua and it cost only US$5.00.
